Why PC Vax Exists
Small Businesses Were Given Two Bad Options.
For years, a small business shopping for cybersecurity has faced a gap. On one side: consumer antivirus — cheap, easy, and entirely dependent on somebody at the office noticing and understanding its popups. On the other: full Managed IT — genuinely valuable, but a whole-technology commitment many businesses don’t want or need just to get real security.

The Founder
Jim O’Connell
PC Vax was founded by Jim O’Connell, a systems architect with more than 18 years in corporate IT — designing, building, and securing the infrastructure businesses run on: networks, Windows Server environments, Active Directory, virtualization platforms, cloud services, and the Microsoft 365 stack that powers most modern offices.
Nearly two decades of that work taught him a pattern he couldn’t unsee: the businesses most likely to be hurt by a security incident were the ones least equipped to operate security tooling. They’d buy respectable software, and then the alerts would go unread — because reading them was nobody’s job. The technology was never the missing piece.The operator was.
PC Vax is his answer: pair genuinely professional security technology with a team that owns the operation of it — deployment, monitoring, response, follow-through — and price it so a ten-person company can actually say yes.
Jim lives and works in the Phoenix metro area, where PC Vax is headquartered and where its first customers are being protected.
